Wonderful rustic project: how to make this watch inspired by nature

Watches and clocks are traditionally considered symbols of the industry. More than any other element of technology, they represent the transition we made outside of nature and towards machines. So I was totally speechless when I recently found a very interesting joinery project that combines nature with mechanics.

The rustic decoration is at this moment. This is the reason why there are so many rustic furniture projects on our site, like this list above.

In fact, one of the most exciting rustic decoration lists we've compiled is one of the log projects. These projects take a step forward compared to many others because they look very incomplete to them. Their charm is not just outdated, it's organic, natural, a little bit of open space brought into the home.

I love decor like this, but it's been a while since I came across a similar project that I can share with all of you. But I just found it!

Video tutorial:

Video of MightyWood Youtuber.

This video teaches you how you can build a working clock using a cross section of a wooden log. The natural edges have remained intact. The design is very intelligent and the end result is nothing short of stunning.

This project amazes me because it is so unexpected. Clocks are very symbols of our transition from nature and towards mechanics. So seeing a clock that takes us back to nature bringing nature into the home is quite beautiful!

It seems that this project requires a lot of precision. But if you have woodworking skills and patience, it should not be too difficult to replicate using the video tutorial. I could just try this! If you decide to create your own natural watch, be sure to show us the result!
