Juan Guaido, the provisional president of Venezuela, is at the Venezuelan Central University (UCV), during a public protest against Nicolas Madura.

"They thought that today people in Venezuela would be scared, it would cause fear, but today we are on the street and we will be back on Saturday," said Guaidó.

The interim president stressed that students needed to make Venezuela "a great nation".

"We are at over five thousand points in the streets because of the desire to live in a better country, we will not leave the country, what we really want people to return," said Guaidó.

Medical students attending the protest, held in front of the University Hospital in Caracas (HUC), submitted the white coat Guaidó as a symbol of their dedication.
