Nicolas Maduro ordered Tarek to William Saab to investigate the death of Captain Corvette Rafael Acosta Arévalo, who was detained in the headquarters of the Military Counter-Intelligence Administration in Caracas on June 21st.
The information was released on Thursday evening via a statement posted by Jorge Rodriguez on Twitter.
Venezuelan lawyer Tamara Suy convicted Arévalo of dying this Saturday at dawn for the constant torture that officials had been subjected to Dgci.
Alonso Medina Roa, the late captain's lawyer, said his client showed signs of torture when he was taken to court yesterday.
