Healdsburg's Single Thread got stunning three Michelin stars in his second year of work. The restaurant, which most likely entered the shortlist as one of the 50 best restaurants in the world for 2019, is one of the 57 Bay Area restaurants, marked on November 29. The first is the Sonoma County restaurant that has ever got three stars.
"So we are incredibly proud of our hard-working team of farmers, chefs and service professionals, and everyone has devoted so much to these two years to create a warm hospitality environment. share them with all of them, "said chef / owner Kyle Connaughton.
According to Michelin: "SingleThread has risen to the top of the Sonoma County Roundtable since its inauguration in 2016. The talented couple behind this project of power has demonstrated consistent commitment to the highest standards of quality ingredients and an extremely sophisticated kitchen. " Three stars are considered the highest act the restaurant can receive. The guides began in 1900 as a way for drivers to find good hotels and restaurants. (And a good marketing trick for Michelin tires). Three stars are "worth a special trip" to the guide.
Receiving three stars is Atelier Crenn in San Francisco since last year.
Having three stars in the country of wine is Meadowood Restaurant in Sv. Helena French lingerie in Yountville, and, in San Francisco and on the peninsula, Dunja, Benu, Saison and Manresa.
Coi in San Francisco dropped to two stars, while the rest of the category remains the same. No two star restaurants in North Bay.
Finally, with one star, Madrona Manor in Healdsburg and Farmhouse Inn in Forestville retain their winning streaks – both for more than a decade on the list. Terrapin Creek in Bodega Bay has fallen from the list this year.
I just received a call @MichelinGuideSF one star for 2019. Thanks to its crew for all the hard work.

"The San Francisco dining room scene is currently growing, and our inspectors were particularly impressed by the choice of kitchen styles, consistency and overall quality of food they found in the city," said Gwendal Poullennec, the international director of Michelin guides.
"In particular, Atelier Crenn and SingleThread teams should be extremely proud, because our inspectors were very impressed with the quality of the products used in the preparation of meals. Ttogether with their careful attention to detail, creativity and dedication to delighting their customers means that they always offer a memorable and very enjoyable gastronomic experience to menus. No doubt, they definitely had a special path! "
"Famous anonymous" restaurant guide inspectors have increased their match over the past few years after they have been cruising for what seemed like years. The list is, however, a rather difficult code that eventually decreases and is considered as damn small restaurants flooded with publicity.
Restaurants selected for the annual Michelin Guide are evaluated according to five criteria defined by Michelin: product quality; preparation and taste; the character of chefs discovered through his kitchen; value for money; and consistency over time and across the entire menu. The official 2016 Michelin Guide from San Francisco will be announced on Tuesday, December 4, and will include the Bib Gourmand restaurants assigned last week.
If you want to taste Michelin stars, the Single Thread will host the December 4th event at the Healdsburg restaurant with Dominique Crenn from Atelier Crenn. The event will include eleven courses featuring each chef. Tickets are 325 kn per person.
