In the astrophysic turnaround, the first photograph of the black hole to be released



Reuters WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Scientists are expected to discover the first black hole photograph, a breakthrough in astrophysics that provides insight into celestial monsters with gravitational fields so intense, no matter how light can escape.

The US National Science Foundation has scheduled a press conference in Washington to announce the "revolutionary outcome of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT)" project, an international partnership set up in 2012 to try to directly contemplate the immediate black hole environment.

Concurrent conferences are planned in Brussels, Santiago, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo.

While researchers who participated in the research refused to disclose findings before the formal announcement, they are clear about their goals.

The researchers targeted two super-massive black holes.
