Zero Escape Director reveals Virtual Pop Idol from the upcoming game

You may recognize Kotaro Uchikoshi from his work running the zero victory game (999, the last prize for virtue, and the dilemma about zero time), and you may be familiar with a series of deadly mysteries of Spike Chunsoft Danganronpa. But they seem to have made a somewhat unexpected move to their next game. Promote your own virtual pop idol and influencer. What time is it to be alive.

Iris Sagan, also known as her A-set or Tesa scenes, is considered an important figure in the upcoming UI-Koshi and Spike Chunsoft AI: The Somnium Files. It is important to note that her design comes from Yusuki Kozaki, who is best known for her character design in Fire Emblem Awakening (including fate and heroes) and series No Heroes.

Obviously, Iris is a great streamer, an internet pop star and an 18-year-old high school student all at the same time. And it seems to be active Twitter account with a video in which Uchikoshi-san comicly introduces A-set, followed by a kind of music video showing her dancing and singing in the original song (see below for free).

I would like to consider myself as an authority on digital pop idols because I still believe that Rise Kujikawa (Persona 4) and Hatsune Miku have gold standards – so, my fandom sets at a fairly high setting. But I will not yet write Iris (or A-set), especially if this relates to a more narrative for AI: The Somnium Files.

AI: The Somnium Files was first discovered during the Anime Expo 2018 panel, and Iris was first introduced as a key figure. There is not much to say about the game, but it shares the similarities with previous game developers; you will play as Kaname Date and investigate a series of murders that will include solving puzzles and gathering evidence that will lead to reliable conclusions. It is set for launching for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC sometime this year.
